Well I have been to a whole bunch of other sites but this site comes closest to TFL. I will be visiting other sites but I think this is the main one for me. What about you folks?

    THR is TFL, Jr.

Except for the absence of some of the usual suspects and trolls, THR is growing up quite nicely. It's already a worthy successor, IMO.

I'm happy here, and it's nice to not have to worry about my now favorite gun board shutting down.

Besides, look at the cool new smilies we've got to play with! :neener:

I will miss TFL, wasn't a member as long as some, but glad to have been a part. I will still use TFL for reference.

THR is home, we have been challenged and Oleg, ...all the mods have worked hard to continue the challenge and we are part of this new beginning.

    THR isn't TFL

Don't get me wrong: I'm glad THR is here, and I intend to stay here for a good long time.

    But it's not TFL.

THR has a life of its own, now. It grew from the community that was first built at TFL, and it's good (oh, so good) that much of that community is intact, here.

But we have new faces amongst us, too. We have new fora. A new focus. A new hand at the helm.

We will build a good place here, a community of friends, a strong beacon to shine the light of freedom. If we do it right, perhaps one day this place will be the touchstone for others that TFL was for many of us.

It would be sad, if with all the potential in this place, it turned out to be nothing more than a pale shadow of TFL -- a sham, an imitation. A wannabe.

But I don't think that's where we're going. I think we'll remember TFL, as the place that first brought many of us together, and as the place where many of us began to realize the importance of the RKBA.

THR will build a community of its own, a life of its own.

And that's the way it should be.

I just hope the trolls get lost along the way.

New trolls will show though. I sort of can't wait for the next Mall Ninja.

I've come to depend on the opinions and observations from certain folks at TFL. Glad to see so many of them here at The High Road.
