I contacted my senator about the possibility of legislation being put forth to reinstate the old AWB, or to limit mag size. This was his (disappointing) form letter response:

It seems to me, he is suggesting that he would support a new AWB. I find this unacceptable, and responded letting him know as much (in a polite manner).

I just felt the need to pass this on to others he represents, so they can contact him with their concerns on this issue as well. And like I did, let him know he will not be supported for re-election if he were to vote yes on such legislation.

    Welcome to THR.

That is the same respnse I recieved. I expected as much. This state seems to be largely controled be the large metro areas along I-25 however, it is still pretty "purple". As such I figure every politician realizes, or should, that an issue like gun control can make or break them. I've contacted Senator Bennet several time in the last few weeks and will continue to do so. I advise all other pro-gun "activists" to do the same. I have a feeling Colorado will become a "battleground state" for gun rights. We need to let our representatives know how we feel. This applies to the state level as well.

    Thanks.

Yes, I hope to pass this along to every pro-gun person I know, and hopefully they flood his office with emails and calls.

I see you are on the good side of the state as well. ;)
