Has the day completely lost its signifigance? Don't plan drills on 9/11.

An example of common sense is how our warning sirens are tested in the town I live in. Every Wednesday at noon the system is tested for two minutes, UNLESS there is bad weather in the area. That way you know if the weather looks iffy and the siren is going off it is the real deal, not a test.

I'm surprised there was not a photo opportunity fly by of one of the Presidential 747s going low through New York today...

To add something gun related to this... I bet they have .50 cals mounted on those patrol boats! That is what guided our Aircraft Carrier into port in the Persian Gulf every time we pulled in.
