He's already said he's not running again.

This what people who want "term limits" don't seem to understand -- if an officeholder doesn't have to worry about re-election, he can do anyting he wants, without regard to his constituents.

A better idea was one used by an ancient culture, viz. the lawmaker proposed to law to his constituents while he was standing on a gallows with a rope around his neck. If his constituents didn't like the law, they pulled the lever.

If that's not true, it ought to be.

Incorrect, especially if he or she has any loyalty to a political party or hopes of another office. You do realize lack of term limits has produced the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Feinstein, Sheila Jackson Lee, etc, etc?

Forgot to add, get on it, Sooners. Blow up this guys inbox/voicemail.

This is disconcerting to me because Coburn is freaking rated A+ by the NRA. He is known as "Dr. No" on Capitol Hill due to his opposition of bills he thinks are unconstitutional.

It won't last. His constituents will spank him...or threaten him.
