Lol. I hate that CZs have somehow become the go to gun for hipsters. I've been shooting CZs since before Hipsters started growing their ****** beards and wearing those stupid pointy dress shoes and skinny jeans.

I always figured the resurgence of the 1903 Hammerless was entirely because of hipsters.

Nice!

I haven't seen the selfie type either, although I have seen a couple that came close.

I would match up the closest to the male counterpart of the housewife example. Smile and nod at you on the way in, set up and do my shooting, then smile and nod at you on the way out.

Now, if someone asks, I'll help them all I can.

If someone is obviously in trouble and is scared to/doesn't have the sense to, ask, I'll volunteer.

If they are pointing guns all over the place I will chastise them openly and tell them to stop.

RE posing: two best pistol shooters I ever saw at a range were a dumpy blonde girl and an old man who shot a Smith & Wesson semiauto with one hand. They shot at 50 feet, standing, and kept everything pretty much within an area the size of an orange. No camo, no tactical pants, no hair gel.

He should make a video about range officers!

They left out the 10mm guys... I see them all the time.

"Hey man, its a 10mm , its a mans gun!"

"No way! lets shoot that cannon!"

The smiles and giggles go away when I bust out the .454 casull and .44 mag in the lane next to them...

Then they go away allowing me to shoot in comfort without the obnoxiousness.

Forgive, I gotta ask (just havin fun here):

“I was shooting CZ’s before it was cool”. So are you the original hipster then?

I really haven't seen anyone that fits these descriptions. I've seen a couple that I considered unsafe but that's it. Of course I don't go to an indoor range. I don't even know where one is located but I'm sure it would be a long drive. In fact I've never been in an indoor range in my life.

I might encounter someone that fits one or two of his descriptions if I went to my local range on weekends but I don't. I go very early in the mornings and see very few people. Those that I do see are like me, there to shoot and not mess around.

I ddi enjoy the video.

Colin is cool.

I have land so I don't go to ranges much but when I did it was not unusual to see Mr I was a delta, seal, ranger, sniper decked out in full mismatched camo and couldn't shoot.
I have owned CZ' s since the 90's, and those of you that have met me know me I'm more of a cranky old guy than hipster.:neener::rofl:

Funny story.
Years ago I'm at a range and shooting a simple Rock Island 1911.
Mr big mouth in the next lane starts bragging on his Kimber tactical whiz bang, latest and greatest.
I had enough of him and his bragging so I pulled out my money clip and had 17 dollars. Slapped it on the counter and said, " 7 rounds high score wins."
I went home with $34.

I’ve seen the selfie shooter! Couple of em actually, with gangbanger boyfriends. It was a wonder there weren’t any negligent discharges.

I've seen his video's before and like the guy. I went to an indoor range yesterday for the 1st time in a very long time. Only one other person and we had no interaction at all.

I usually go to an outdoor range at a club where I'm a member and have not had any negative experiences. I've honestly never encountered any of those types. I tend to arrive prior to sunup and have targets posted in time to shoot at 1st light. Usually have the range to myself until about 10AM when I'm winding up. There are a couple of other guys who do the same and we often show up on the same days. When that happens we get along well.

Had a couple of CZ pistols back in the 90's. Thought they were highly over rated and sold them, hipsters deserve them. I do like my CZ 452 American though.

There is a lot of different types of people. Owning a gun is a pretty diverse thing a lot of different people enjoy. If only they all fit into easy groups.
Indoor ranges of random people is a hard group to put into neat categories. Indoor ranges with narrow stalls are also pretty crowded spaces to be with random people shooting deadly loud weapons.
It should show you how important it is to foster a society with responsible behaviors. In times past when war at home was more common, a nation was only as good as its people were able to interact well armed.
If people are able to be safe and respect each others' space and enjoy themselves most of the time it says a lot. Just imagine what your area would be like if you had to form a militia like in past times with a subsection of your population. You start to realize how important the makeup of your society is.

up far away...25 or 50 yards.
Then you look at the group. One big hole.
I worked part time at the LGS. Saw a guy come into the range. Bought a smallish bullseye target, mounted it with the back of the target to the firing line so it was a blank sheet.

Runs it out to 15 yards, puts a round right thru the middle of the blank side, then puts another fifty rounds in a group maybe the size of a quarter or fifty cent piece. Packs up and leaves.

He didn't mention the type I am.

I'm Mr. One hole guy. I take several different weapons to the range, shoot them all for hours and leave with only one hole in the target CUZ I'M JUST THAT GOOD. Kind of like a Carlos Hathcock, Micheal Jordan, Geronimo hybrid.

If you believe that, guess what type you are...

Then there is Mr. Klutz. Best intentions but nothing goes write. (see what I mean?) Guns jam, scope off tilter, all kind of equipment hang-ups.
I have a bad feeling that I may have dated the wifey in the video back in HS.

Mr and Mrs Unsafe is what worries me the most. One day at the range there was a guy shooting an AK pistol. I noticed that he was leaning back in the chair on the two rear legs.I pointed this out to the RSO and he made him stop doing that.
