I see Cav Arms is marketing AR furniture in a variety of hues. Anyone seen one of these? As I am thinking about building my own I thought this might be a good anti-tactical feature. Anyone have pics??
I don't have pics but I just installed a set (handguard, grip, and tele stock) of coyote brown on a gun I had laying around. It looks cool, I like it. Seems like decent quality stuff.
Brownells carries some of the more popular colors, i.e. green, coyote, black. If you're looking for something like pink you might have a hard time finding it. These guys http://www.jdtactical.com/ have some other colors as well. I couldn't find very many places that sold the stuff where I could order it online.
I have two untactical colors: yellow and gray. I don't have pics with the gray furniture on, but here is a shot of my rifle with the yellow furniture.
Cav Arms furniture is top notch for the price, in my opinion.
There's a lady on http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/ who has a pink AR. Hot pink at that. The picture may still be there, but you could pop by and do a search for coloured AR stocks.
Or go here. There's a picture of the Cavalry Arms stocks. Not on a rifle though. http://www.azexarms.com/cavfurniture.html
I know this might be hard for some of you, but if you can handle buying a $5 can of spray paint, you could always do it yourself. Just take it off your gun, paint it, let it dry, and put it back on. I know that isn't as exciting as spending a whole lot of money buying it from special vender, but it is a whole lot cheaper.
I know, their stocks are probably molded in that color so you can scratch it and it won't be black underneath. I still would rather paint it again than spend a bunch of extra money on something else. But that is just me and I like to pain my own rifles.
