I'm starting this thread here as a place for Colorado folks to coordinate the safe transport and storage of their firearms under evacuation conditions.

If you live near the Springs and have a need or can help someone with a need, this would be the place to discuss that.

Evacuation for wildfires pretty much sucks already without adding the aggravation that you can't lug a dozen guns into most hotels without getting some eyebrows.

Perhaps we can help reduce that aggravation factor for some of our Colorado people.

I can store some at my place. My safe is maxed out but I can find a place for them somewhere. If anyone needs any help let me know.

I live in C.S. from 1965 to 1990 then moved to Florence. I have a safe, I'm retired Dept of Corrections and I can give references ie police chief, county commisioner etc. Be glad to help if you need a place to store your guns.
