I am building an FDE AR. I’ve got Aero Precision upper receiver, lower receiver, and hand guards, all in FDE from Aero Precision. I would like to ensure that the upper and lower parts (mag release, bolt release, forward assist, and ejection port cover, extension tube, end plate, and castle nut) as well as the barrel and muzzle brake, are colored FDE as well. I’m not super particular about whether they’re Cerakoted or Durakoted, or finished in some other manner so long as the colors match and the finish lasts. What are my options with regards to turning the parts from black to FDE on my own?again, the major parts are already FDE so I would be ensuring that the smaller parts match. Thanks!

I've got fde duracoat if you want I can do them when I blast and paint my buddies Savage receiver.

Matching fde can be tricky, everyone's tends to be a little different.

I agree that is going to be a bit of a challenge. Do you have someone locally or within driving distance that does Ceracoating? That way you can take the gun in and have them try to match it.

I probably would choose to have a different shade of FDE or tan done to the small parts as accent.
