To me it is almost a sin to have a 1911 in any caliber other than a 45. Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with a gentleman in Ma. that has this little Colt up for sale. Don't remember the price but I think my wife will have to co-sign on this one.

    SWEET!

I have a 1911 in 9mm. That is one FUN gun to shoot! Ammo is relatively unexpensive, recoil is way low, accuracy is great, etc.

Used to think as you do, but if I ran across a Commander in 9 I think I'd buy it. Actually, what I have done is buy a Springfield EMP in 9mm, it's a 1911 all the way but downsized to the 9mm cartridge, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pistols.
