Is there anybody out here that knows the history, and price of a Custom Government Colt .45 model 01970CG with a 5" barrel. I can pick one up NIB with the papers for 1,000 dollars.

    Look like the one at

    ?

I don't like Millett sights and I think Colt is just cheesy putting drop-in beavertails with huge gaps on "custom shop" guns. The Colt ambi safety is not the best and those pebbled Sile rubber grips are unimpressive in person.
    Looks real shiny, though.
    Not MY $1000.

    .45 colt

    Thanks Jim

I thought it over and decieded to pass on the colt .45. It does look kind-of cheap. I was not to impressed with the grips either. I can stick that 1000 dollars in a betterr gun. Thanks for your opinion.
