I have a couple.

The one on the top is three years newer than the one on the bottom (no mistake). It's an unfired .32 cal., so I bought the .38 on the bottom to shoot. The top gun was made in 1975 and the bottom was made in 1972. Any of you seen a second series made after 1972? I'd like to know the effect on value.

When did they stop making the "long butt" D-frames? Maybe they had some leftover frames from eariler production and made that .32. Pretty strange to see a 1975 gun without a barrel lug.

I believe they shortened the butt frame in 1966 and went to the wrap around wood grips. The frame wasn't changed in 1972 with the 3rd issue.
