It retains the spring when you remove the slide I believe. Is it a double "s"?

Based on what I've seen on line, your pistol would likely end up in the $700 range. This was one of the true classic 22 pistols! Congratulations.

I'd agree with that assessment. Looks clean, bluing looks pretty intact, no scratches, pitting or rust that I can detect from your pics, stocks look unworn, no dings … Plus, two magazines.

Last one I saw for sale was much more worn than yours, seller was asking for $650 with only one mag, no box.

I'd sure be shooting the snot out of it. I stupidly got rid of a 3rd Model Woodsman that was a joy to shoot, have not been able to find one in decent condition locally since ...

I would snatch that up in a heartbeat! Don't see very many Colt .22s in that nice of shape anymore.

Nice gun. My guess would be closer to $500 as a selling price. Sure people may ask for more, but do they get it?....Search completed Gunbroker auctions to find out.

Very nice example. $500 would be a steal.
Let us know what the trigger is like.

The trigger is stock unmolested... could either used shot- lubed or some attention -about normal for a field pistol and not a target trigger..... then again I may just be spoiled :p

Reason I asked -
I had a Woodsman a while back , lightest trigger I have ever experienced. I tried using it in timed steel plate club competition but it was too light for that; an occasional a.d. is lousy for your time. Someone must have tuned it for slow target work. I'd call it an actual "hair trigger" , all it took was to rest your finger on that trigger and bang!

Enjoy your Woodsman - sheer class.
