Colt Navy/Army Cylinder Outer Diameter?

How close is the Navy/Army cylinder outer diameter to the SAA? The thought crossed my mind as I was considering Colt made cartridge conversions for the Navy/Army, then used their lessons learned to make the 1871 "Open Top".... which, after adding a top strap, became the single action army.....

Is anyone willing to take their measuring calipers to their 1860 Army (or reproduction) and measure the two outside diameters (forward and aft)?

Sorry, lots of guns but sadly, NO CALIPERS!

From a couple of sites online, I get these measurements for the original 1860's:

1.5 inch cylinder diameter at its widest point listed as "depth" from:

My Pietta 1860 Army cylinder is right at 1.60 in. at the widest diameter.
