Hi all, I have an opportunity to pick up a stainless Colt Officer for 650 dollars. The gun is 15 years old and in 99% condition. Apparantly Robar did a bit of work to the gun in like 1995 or thereabouts. It isn't NP3'd, just stainless. The guy claims he got the gun as a gift from a wealthy client, but said he never really shot it. To me this seems like an outstanding deal, and Im going Wednesday to get it. Any thoughts? What would Robar have done to it?

All other things being equal. sounds good I'd probably try to get it down to $600 due to age otherwise I have read good things about the colts. Sorry no info on robar good luck

I would say that is a fair deal but would not ask him to lower the price because its a older gun, (most Colts Appreciate in value...) But because its had some custom work done to it... I would also give a good look over too. I think 550-600 is a fair price if its in good shape.. FYI one just recently sold on gunsamerica for 850... I just picked a Colt Officer up recently as well... So far it has been a good shooter. I am sure you will enjoy it if you get it... Robar is a good company and do good work, they are really known for there NP3 finish...
