Colt pistol guy's, please ident this old Colt

    Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer model, calibre .38 Rimless Smokeless, aka .38 Auto or .38 ACP. Made in 1908 according to Coltautos.com
    Do NOT shoot .38 Super in this old gun. The brass/chamber dimensions are the same but the Super is about 50% hotter and the old twin link guns are just not strong enough. Some will say they are not strong enough for much of the original load.

    NOTE: To disassemble that gun, push in on the recoil spring plug in the front of the slide below the muzzle and the slide key will drop out to the left side. DON'T try to drive the key out!!!!

    And DON'T forget to reinstall the key when reassembling. If the gun is fired without it, the slide will come back in the shooter's face.
