Have you ever priced any of the LeMat reproductions?

I think they're about DOUBLE the Colt Root repop.

    Insane.

I'm just thankfull that nobody has come out with repro Savage, Tranter, Adams, Deane, Beaumont or a couple of dozen other weird C&B revolvers-yet.

I'd probably "have to have' one of those too, just like I did the Le Mat, Starr DA Army, Remington Pocket, and almost every other make of C&B revolver so far.

Can't help it. I'm fascinated by these old machines and have an irresitable urge to shoot them myself. Feeding the "Elephant's Child" can get expensive!

I suppose that value is relative. I paid just under $500 for a brand-new Le Mat Navy and thought it a very good bargain. It is the single most beautifully made and finished repro revolver that I've ever seen. If one considers what it would cost to buy a shootable original, it seemed like peanuts to me.

I've been wondering when somebody was going to introduce a replica Root revolver. Now all they need to do is make repros of the Root revolving rifles. Hmmmm.
