colt selling a stripped ar

    colt is offering this stripped (no longer striped the zebras were going into extinction lol) down rifle all for the low low msrp of $800

    I can just see the colt board room meeting now
    C.E.O #1 "we are getting our backsides kicked by people making the same rifle with the same quality parts or better for a significant amount less!"
    C.E.O#2 "I know let's offer our rifle just missing parts for the same amount the other guys are selling their complete rifles" "brilliant"

    Brilliant! Next year we'll just sell the pony logo on a piece of aluminum for $625.

    The article actually says "The MSRPs are expected to be less than $800.".
    And of course you'll be able to find rifles for less than msrp, how much less depending on seller.
    That would make sense. I would rather have one of these for $700-$750 than a full rifle for $900-$950.
    I'd end up replacing the handguards, sights, and stock anyways.
    According to the article you'll be able to get a "stripped" Colt with front sight as well as without...OEM1 and OEM2.
    I'm actually going to be looking for these,
