Any suggestions for a Patrol style sling for a Remington 870 W/collapsible stock?
We use Glaco BATTL SLING's here on the boat for our Mossberg 500's and i love them but they will not fit on a gun like mine. So far I am liking the Vickers combat sling.

I've used a single point sling on my 870 for pheasant hunting. (Yeah, I'm non traditional, but My arms weren't tired, either.). I could have SWORN it's a Galco, but I couldn't find it on their site.

Is your problem with the front sling mount?

I have tried various sling setups on scatterguns but for me the sling is ALWAYS in the way and snagging on everything when I need to use the gun quickly. I would only use one if I knew I had a long hike and needed to lug a scattergun.

I use a long piece of silent sling webbing (about 6' adjusted as needed) with silent sling buckles on 1.25" QD swivels as a two-point sling, hung over the shooting side shoulder and under the support side arm, with the shotgun diagonal to the body and the butt up at the shooting side shoulder. Helps if the swivel studs are on the side, but it works OK with studs on the bottom too.

normally I would be worried about snagging but this is a gun that I intend to have with me for long distance traveling. I have a sidesaddle and buttstock ammo pouch so the gun is a little heavier than I want to carry w/o a sling
