My first go round with a BuckMark was 34 years ago on my first hunt. As an 8 year old who had just fired dad’s 20 ga single mounted to my shoulder bone, I was instantly determined to be done with firearms. Then, just as quickly, Sarge unholstered his Browning and convinced me to give shooting one more try. One magazine later and I was hooked it seems for life.

Fast forward to youth deer season, late shopping for no-scent soap, and spotting a new clearance BuckMark that had to be mine. $240 plus tax ($256.80), I think it was a good deal and I’ve got a great reminder of that first hunt. I guess technically I’d need to buy a single-shot 20 to bring things full circle but this is gonna have to suffice.

4” bull barrel, adj. rear and Patridge front with full top rail. Think I might just skip on a sight for now.

Not quite what I shot as a kid but the price was right.

Good for you and one heck of a deal! I just bought my first Buckmark today, a Camper UFX Stainless that LGS was selling less than I could buy online. Can't wait to shoot it.

BTW if you are not aware of it Browning has a rebate going on right now that ends at the end of the month. $25 for pistols. Need to send in by October 15 and can do it online.

Looks like the deal just got better! Thank you, @sigarms228 for the heads up.

Congratulations! That's one that's on my Someday List, and I need to get around to grabbing one.

Some days it fails to register when I spot a “list” gun so I’m glad I caught this one. While I honestly was shopping for soap I also knew F&S was dumping Mossberg Patriots at $299 and wanted to take a hard look. I was about to have a look at a Kimber Hunter when the wee Browning caught my eye.

Timing is everything I guess and if replacing 2 vehicles and adding a 3rd in three months time weren’t my reality I’d have walked out with a half dozen rifles that night. I’m a fortunate man though who cannot claim to be going without what I need.

The integral rail on those would make it too easy to mount a nice rmr.
    Congrats, I'm jealous.
Nothing like an accurate .22 pistol for fun shooting!

That’s what I was thinking years ago when I bought this one. Alas that upgrade has been bypassed time and again to upgrade rifle scopes or other tchotchke I felt compelled to own. Despite languishing with its lowly Bushnell RDS the Little Beretta shoots very well for the price and is always a crowd favorite with the kids.

Once I’ve sorted my hankering for an Eotech I might find myself on the hook for a pair of ff3s as rmrs would more than double the price of my little friends.

I have a similar fun gun. I would hate to part with it. I'm not crazy about my red dot. It's like carrying a chunk of firewood.

A fine looking pistol! If I wasn't already so pleased and happy with my Ruger Mk.II I would seriously consider getting a Buckmark.

The Browning Buckmark is every bit as good a target pistol as the Ruger. Around here, I don't see many for sale, but there's always Rugers available. I think when one goes out on the shelf, it's snatched up pretty quickly.
Good choice, you will enjoy it.

I regret no longer owning a Mk but it’s still on my list as I weigh the pros of each successive generation. I still recall getting saucer eyes when I saw my first SS slabside hit the display case. I moved it right next to a Model 41 to remind myself to save which now reminds me I need to find an S&W too!
