I generally assumed that any human being I don't know and a large number of those that I do know is about to do something stupid.

Last week an 18 YO woman was standing by her broken down car waiting for a tow truck near a local mall when a random person walking by shot her. Apparently just because he felt like it. *

In the world we're living in you'd better assume any stranger approaching you is at least potential threat

    Additional information
*The shooter has been identified and arrested. The police can find no connection between the criminal and the victim and are stating that this appears to be just a truly random act of violence

I was honestly surprised to see how many people would be on the receiving end of an A-10 burst and get back up. The runners tended to stop permanently within 50 meters, but that there was enough connected structure, tissue, and nervous system to run was impressive.

Those 30mm rounds must not have been as powerful as the 9mm's some people carry for SD!

I am a fan of the old serials, B-movie science fiction, I note the one shot stops they always achieved with the 38 Special RNL And only using one hand target holds.

What’s the chance of getting one of those long dead screen writers to script your gunfight?

Probably pretty slim. Then you’ll have to find a bad guy who will read and follow it…….

Analog got a letter to the editor saying of a sharp commanding officer in a story "We need that guy on the Joint Chiefs of Staff."
Editor John W. Campbell replied: "Remember, Dickson is writing both sides."

Yeah, if you never sleep for the rest of your life.

But I've done a lot of work on the side of the road, and you're always watching everything. I counted off 7 seconds from the time the assailant started to hit the brakes until the cop fired.

I was approached like that at work a few times, and I usually had my gun in my hand before they stopped the car. Fortunately, no one jumped out of the car with an axe.

Again, Jeff Cooper (the guy who actually came up with the color code) sees it differently
