Based upon information I've received on this forum, I'm going to buy a Glock 17.

Does anyone have any data on non-compensated barrel vs. compensated barrel? Their web site doesn't give such data and searches produce nothing.

I'm developing tendonitis in my wrists and wonder if it's worth the extra $$.

    Thanx in advance.

I own a 17C and it does control muzzle jump but I don't know how much, if any, reward recoil is lost. I am a faster shot than a regular Glock 17.

I find it to be a fun gun to shoot.

The compensated models are definitely less "snappy" in the recoil. I don't know if that will translate into a benefit to someone in your position, but it can't hurt.

See if you can rent one before you buy.
