concealed carry with compensator attached?

92fs. no compensator yet, but i'm deciding whether to have that as a target, home defense pistol and cc something else. i'm a big guy, so concealing it wouldn't be a big deal, even in a normally placed holster. just wanted to know if anyone else has done the same.

I frequently carry a Wilson (Professional?); Officer sized 1911 with compensator-making slide the length of a Commander slide.
With +P 180 gr. the comp works pretty well for a .45 ACP.

Do you carry in a hip holster, or in a holster that's tucked in the small of your back?

A 92 is already a very large, relatively heavy gun for the rather lightweight 9mm cartridge it shoots. Of all the complaints shooters may have about it, muzzle flip, recoil, and controllability sure aren't among them.

What benefits do you see for adding a compensator, which counter the detriments of added length, weight, complexity, flash, and noise?

And, to directly answer your question, no. I've never met anyone with a comped 92f, and certainly not met anyone who carries one concealed.

You'd also wish to heck you didn't conceal carry an airsoft gun if you every were forced to pull it.:)

Again the question would be... Mag-Na-Port-ing a 34 oz., 8.5" long 9mm?

Wow. That would seems to be a solution in search of a problem.

And I'm not searching to find out, but it might be different to mag-na-port a Beretta, because of the location of the section of the slide that is over the end of the muzzle. There's only about 3/8 " in front of that band, you obviously can't port THROUGH the band, which means you would have to cut behind it, in the section of the exposed barrel. Now you're making a hole further from the muzzle, and losing the advantage you would get from the downforce in the first place. The 92 is the biggest, heaviest 9mm that comes to mind, most of the time people have no problem shooting it as-is.

I don't think there is enough metal in the slide in the affected portion to Magna-Port a Beretta 92.

I've never bothered with any compensating schemes on a 9mm, being of the school of thought that the only holes in your barrel should be the one the bullet comes out of. :D I would definitely not, however, carry any compensated gun that adds length to the slide and muzzle.
