At a recent competition a buddy showed up in a Condor Battle Belt. It is basically is a molle compatible outershell that goes around a riggers belt. It can support multiple pouches and drop leg platforms.

At first I thought it was stupid as all I have done was pistol comps where all I needed was a holster and a double mag pouch. But for carbine training and competitions I think the battle belt would be very useful especially over a tac vest.

The downside is Condor Outdoors is an airsoft company they make "battle gear" for serious airsoft guys. I wonder how well something made for airsoft would hold up in say a 3 gun match or a 2 day carbine course.

All I think I would attach to this belt would be a rig to support 4 AR mags and 3 pistol mags along with a pistol belt or drop leg platform.

What do you guys think?

I don't use a battle belt. I prefer a vest or chest rig. There is a pretty tactical gear section (it is a subforum within the "armory" section) on arfcom. I don't think you will get nearly the same level of response here that you would there. There are lots of people running battle belts. They have a 25+ page picture thread there so you can see what brands people are using and how they have set them up.

Tried looking at the gear pics over there, my gear tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to stop - it was feeling very inadequate.

Guess I don't spend enough on tactical gear...
