Hello,

I just finished contacting my representatives regarding the possibility of another assault weapons ban. My question is, when you contact your representatives, do you just right your 2 senators and your one congressmen for your district? Or do you contact every house of representative member for your state? Sorry...i am young and new at this....thanks in advance

first

I too have been contacting legislators in D.C. I contact the representatives for my local area plus the leaders of the different branches. I think you should contact your personal representatives plus the leaders because the leaders have the advantage of contacting all of the members of their branch at one time. Really we have some individuals in as majority and minority leaders who can help us a lot right now. one site was mentioned and you can also to to the NRA or Gun Owners of America websites to obtain addres. One of the easiest ways is just to type in their name in your search bar and it will take you to their personal website. Boy I wish I was young again. lol Stay safe

Here's a tip....find out the address of the Congress Critter's local office....then call them to get the name of the Admin lead. Then prepare (and proof) your letter, and send it to Congressman X, use the local address, and ATTN: Mr/Ms. Admin Person. Put a local tie in to the issue. This way, your issue gets raised "up" the flag pole as a local constituent issue, vice one of thousands that get go direct to the DC dust bin. You'll find the local admin wants to get credit for keeping the Congress critter informed and in my experience, you get much better handling on the issue. This has worked for me regarding expediting security clearances and importing an M1 Garand from Germany.
