I came home today from the local range where they had a used 1860 Pietta Sheriff's model (.44 cal) for $100! I looked over it carefully while at the shop and though it's been turned a few times (faint ring on the cylinder) it appears it was never shot! :what: Still looks like new. So I head home and start to research what I bought. I had trouble finding anything on it because it has the fluted cylinder. Lo and behold I find there are conversion cylinders for this? I see both R&D has them as well as Kirst but I can't seem to find one with a loading gate for the 1860 Pietta. Am I just missing it or they don't make them. But I would like to know if there are any kits with the loading gate or if any of you came up with your own inventions. Thanks, Ed

Nice score on the Sheriff's model!

R&D has the gated conversions for the 1860's in development; They were supposed to be released way back in the beginning of the year, but keep getting pushed back for some reason.
