I have a savage 223 bolt action which shoots teeny tiny little groups at 100 yards. Only problem is there's only 4 holes in each group. The Savage 12BV will only load 4 rounds in it's internal magazine. Has anyone ever modified or adapted the rifle to accept a different magazine which would hold more rounds? I love the accuracy of the bolt action, but reloading after every 4 rounds is a pain. I could put one in the chamber for a total of 5, but would like something more. An AR is out of the question at the moment due to funds and I don't feel the ARs, at least the affordable ones, are as consistantly accurate as the Savage bolt is. (I'm sure this will get a whole lot of discussion but the question is has anyone modified the Savage to accept a larger magazine?).
