Yesterday I noticed a Cooper quote that said something about the .40 S&W was for a 9MM user who couldn't take the recoil of a .45. I am trying to remember the wording but can't. Can anybody help?

:scrutiny: And what's wrong with a 9mm user, I'd like to know... :scrutiny:

These freakin' gun nut's and their - *ahem*- caliber envy. :uhoh:

Dont get me wrong, i like the 9mm, fun rnd, but i heard somewhere that its good to carry as big a rnd as you can handle well, and for me that falls under something a little hotter, such as .357/.44 spl/.45 acp. i actualy think thats a cooper quote, though i cant back that up.

Check out his Commentaries in THR library. If you wade through all of them you may find what you want. They're interesting reading too.

I also remember him saying that a 22 could be a good self defense round....something like a 22 to the eye socket being hard to beat......I on the other hand would rather be shot by......nothing......9mm or 45....
Besides I always thought 45's were for the old guys.....;)
