You have the one that mounts in the Lee expander die? If so I can photograph mine installed on my Lee Turret press. Let me know and I will send you the photos...I do have a problem posting photos on this site, but I can e-mail them...:D

Yes, I have the Autodisc that screws into the expander die. I guess I need to set up the press with the powder measure and see what happens. I am not trying to be dense but I can't visualize what actuates the measure to drop the charge. I will set it up, see if it works, then take it from there I guess. The worst that can happen is one more source of stress in my life.:scrutiny:

Snuffy - So I guess one sets the expander die to put the amount of bell in the case mouth one wants then one screws the powder charger into the die and the orientation of the charger to the turret is what it is. Correct?

You want the "body" of the powder measure somewhere over the middle of the turret, or else at one position it will crowd the placement of your hand on the handle. Also, with the weight of the cast body centered over the turret there's less being slung around outside the diameter of the turret as the turret spins. If you operate the handle smartly you can spin the turret fast enough that a powder measure hanging "out" can start to unscrew itself, but if the mass is over the center of the turret that doesn't happen - it just rotates.

Lee makes a swivel adapter that lets you position the powder measure in whatever direction you want without adjusting the expander die. It comes as a part of the Pro upgrade kit (if you have a standard measure already.) You can see one in Snuffy's first picture, sitting on top of the expander die and at the bottom of the casting of the powder measure. The swivel adapter also makes it very simple to loosen and rotate the powder measure out of the way if you ever have to reset the decapping pin, then rotate the measure back into position and lock it down, all without touching the expander. Well worth the investment in either the Pro powder measure or the Pro upgrade kit to the standard measure.

Interesting and nice photos Snuffy. Mine must be a bit older then yours as I have the square Hopper...:D

E-mail coming your way...
