Here in Va. it never fails, every year people see Cougars, Black Panthers, Grizzlies, Bigfoot, & Wolves.
But none ever hit by cars trains or trucks or even found dead.
We have Black Bears, Coyotes, Bobcats, and that's about it.
We did have a full grown Cougar photo posted on that face book, the unknow taxidermist holding it up
proudly in his shop. Noticed his shop was filled with ALL mule deer mounts & antlers. We don't have
    mule deer here.

    Yep,

And if you tell me you’ve spotted a “black panther” your credibility has just dropped somewhere below whale poop. Mt Lions don’t come in black.

Good hounds help the seeing of cats quite a bit.

Is anyone else getting advertisements on this post for "cougars" but not the feline kind if you know what I mean?

It was UFOs. Definitely UFOs. Have UFOs, lots of them, there actually everywhere these days. Not any cougars, any where at all, ever.

Exactly, there are no black mountain lions. If you have one on a trail cam it's a house cat 100% of the time. We don't have Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) either but that is another topic.

1st sighting was around TuckerTown Lake, in the fall and late at night. Second was in the small town of Boiling Springs, NC. It was just before hunting season... that's as close as I can estimate. I mentioned it to some friends at the grocery store and one of them acknowledged seeing one in the area as well.

Another one, Mt lions are exclusively ground feeders, they do not drag their kills up into trees like leopards do. So if you are finding cat kills up in a tree it isn’t a Mt Lion that’s doing it.

You can send certain folks in a dead panic by jumping up and pointing to a tree and yelling "chupacabra" !!!!! Used to say "migra"!! but that doesn't work anymore.
