Could I see your s&w model 10’s please

While I’d sure like to get a model 10 HB for under 300.00 ( no pawn shops or gun shows at this moment) there is a dealer on GB that has quite a few. They are getting 370.00 for several to choose from that include holster and 2 speedloaders and pouch! Seems like a fair deal to me. Dunno if I could or should share a link to them. Blackmarket arms is the seller. Anyone delt with them?

I have a well-worn M&P that is the last gun my Great Uncle carried as a police officer. He was with the Las Vegas PD from 1945-1965.


The grips are sterling silver with copper Mexican images... not too practical but flashy for the time period.

While this isn’t a true Model 10, it is the Model 10’s stainless clone... the Model 64.


This is an AIM Surplus purchase... a tad ratty on the outside but functionally perfect inside .

For any of you folks that think the Magna grips just don't seem to be conducive to good shooting, please let me recommend the addition of a BK grip adapter. I just put the one shown on my model 10 in post #97. I finally got to shoot it this weekend and wow what a difference.
This model 10 was the first of many S&W revolvers for me so it holds a sweet spot in my heart but with the grip adapter it just moved up the list of favorite shooters.
I also put a BK on my 3 inch model 36. Very good on a J frame too.

On target yours has that DC tag on it. The ones I’m looking at on GB have it as well. Probably came from the same lot

Good chance. I bought mine locally but from a shop that has a HUGE online presence.
It came with a holster, speed loader pouches and 2 speed loaders. All the leather is stamped with DOC initials too but from different facilities. Kind of cool.

I don't have an actual model marked 10, so this "pre Model 10" will have to suffice. 6" barrel, shipped in March, 1948. All numbers match. Lots of fun to shoot.

Nah, that’s the cry for a classic and worn in holster, not something fancy and new for an old workhorse like that, it needs some more familiar places to rest.

That’s a hard fought battle. I’m ahead of most folks my age but behind on where I had planned to be. Seems each time I make a move for to better things a curveball hits me right in the bank account.

If you find a baby money tree, the old wheel guns aren’t getting any cheaper with the exception of right now. The covid crunch has put a run on “modern” guns, but collectibles and “obsolete” gun prices are depressed a bit. Now’s the time to buy
