I have been doing a good job of resisting the urge to take advantage of the offers that show up every day lately in my e-mail. Most of the time I delete them without even looking at specifics. It makes it a little easier now that Palmetto State Armory and many others have had to start charging me Sales Tax!

Yesterday I gave in and bought a Ruger AR556 Rifle from GRABAGUN for less than $490 delivered. I certainly do not need it, but it just seemed too good to pass up.

Have you too bought anything online lately that seemed to be priced at a point that was too good to pass up?

The deals are as deep, as your billfold. The hard part is every time I seem to pull the trigger on a great deal, the next one appears on the gun.deal site, and seems like another too hard to pass up deal. LOL What a change a few years can make.

I try to stay away from Gunbroker, but when I find my way there I tend to find stuff that’s not expensive and is not being bid on. Most recently a single shot 16ga. Before that a Butler Derringer, and before that one a Colt New Line. All right at the start bid. All bids were placed in the last hour of the auction. Most expensive of the lot was the 16ga which after tax, title, and dealer prep totaled up to $106.32.

Grabagun got me for a Ruger SP101 in 9mm for $385 delivered

I really wanted an LCR in 9mm. I am not wild about moon clips but I like the ballistics of the 9mm out of a short barreled revolver

I figured I would keep it loaded with moonclip and then I can at least dump the first load and reload with single rounds. I will be up a creek if I need to reload a 3rd time with.

That's my M.O. as well. My email puts them in a folder called "Promotions". I avoid that folder. Between tools (eastwood mostly), car parts (summit, NPD, American muscle etc), and gun stuff (Natchez, PSA, recoil gunworks, Kings, Midway etc). It's best for me to resist the temptation.

I get e-mails from a LGS who was having a sale on Glocks. I have no need for a 48, but for $414 I couldn't pass it up. While I was picking it up yesterday I saw a S&W Model 60. I had been looking for a revolver with a 3 inch barrel and walked out the door with that as well. I have a self imposed rule that if I buy a gun I need to sell one, so I have two listed on Armslist now, my SP101 and GP100. Both are great, but I never warmed to them.

I am well aware of Remington’s woes in recent years, but their R1 1911 pistols are good to go IMO. My 5” was a a great buy for a basic 1911 when I bought it the last time they ran their $100 rebate promotion.

When PSA started sending me birthday and holiday cards I knew I had a problem. I've purchased quite a few of their uppers and lowers over the last few months that were/are on sale. Great deals.

You should have waited. I heard they will be giving away AR's pretty soon.

Just kidding. Looking at HK right now. Stupid low prices.

I think Remington is just about finished. If you want one better buy it now.

You know the saying, "If something seems too good to be true it probably isn't". Of course there are exceptions. Generally I buy guns based on need and not price.

Finally had to pull the trigger (so to speak) on a new scope for my Remington 700BDL in .300 Win Mag. Natchez had a Weaver Tactical 3-15X50 illuminated, MSRP ~$1100 for $570 plus offered a 10% Memorial Day discount. $527 shipped! Now I'll have to sight in that beast again! :what::eek::uhoh:
