Do you have any backup for "Pure Junk" have you used one? Have you ever seen one?

I used one for about 20 rounds on a 308 rem 700. It was Okay at BEST. for the price it was 1-2 star. The mount/dials/glass face etc were okay, but against other scopes in that price range clarity at distance NO WAY. I was not happy with the FOV and played with eye relief, jsut never got comfortable with it. I would take the Bushnell elite series or save the extra coin for the 6500 Elite. I am sure there are others out there, some like Vortexx a lot but i have never used one. Hope this helps some, like stated earlier Snipers hide has a TON of reviews on the Counter Sniper at sniper hide along with positives on several Nikons, Bushnells, Vortex and Leupold

Thanks for the real feedback. I did look on sniper hide, couldn't find anything about counter Sniper. I will look again.

Anybody that uses Bertrillium-Zantitium™ lens coatings has got to make Great scopes!
Not even Night Force, Swarovski, Carl Zeiss, or Leica use that stuff.

O.K., now look Bertrillium and Zantitium up in your Funk & Wagnels!

I realize that your comment was sarcastic and that what you are saying is that the Countersniper lens coating must be inferior given that it is not used by any of the top quality scope lines. It is true that the coating isn't used by the top scope lines. However, that is hardly a condemnation of the product. As it turns out, each of these top quality scope makers uses their own proprietary les coatings. So while Countersniper scope lens coating isn't the same at top quality scope manufacturers, none of theirs are the same as any of the other manufacturers.

Leupold uses magnesium fluoride that they calll Diamondcoat/Diamondcoat II

Nightforce uses an unspecified proprietary lens coating

Swarovski uses Swarodur, Swarotop, and Swarobright coatings.

Zeiss used Lotu Tec lens coating.

Leica uses the Aguadura

Just try looking up Lotu Tec, Swarodur, etc. in F&W. You get the same results as with Bertrillium-Zantitium.

What's interesting about the "review links", is that only one or two people have the actual experience or bought one....rest of the comments are from people that haven't. Not just this product but others. Herd mentality seems to be the norm on internet forums.

Counter Sniper scopes are no better or worse than most of the cheaper scope lines, but their flamboyant marketing rhetoric is probably what got them more scrutiny. And yes, I did buy one, also have Leupold, Swarovski, Tasco, Weaver, Unertel, Burris, and many more.

whatever. it's your money. don't say you weren't warned.

My comments were based on my experience with one. Had a buddy who bought one. The turrets were clumsy, it wouldn't zero, and the reticle was a complete train wreck. Im all for spending your money however you see fit so if you want to buy one feel free. Just know that for the price you could get something better. Also be sure to pick up some Extreme Shock Ammo with it.

I don't think I've ever seen a Counter Sniper scope. Don't recall ever having seen them advertised. But I'm curious.

Where are they made? I've read conflicting reports. What does it say on the scope?
In what magazines are they advertised?

Counter Sniper

Right now am looking at a box that contained a Counter Sniper "DOH322 Reactor W/ Gooseneck Mnt" . When my wife and I saw the goofy box with a graphic of two gilly suited people with bolt rifles, another graphic of a person with a AR and the American flag, we knew this was the real thing. What cinched the deal was the wording "Counter Sniper Military Optical Gunsight Corporation".

Who could resist?

This red-dot was initially placed on a Bushmaster and is now on a LMT AR. I would classify it as equal to a hundred dollar Bushnell red-dot. It has survived two years and about 5000 rounds of 223 recoil. For plinking close up and out to 300 yards it's OK.

The pictures and wording on the box is where the real value is : ) I keep this box near my desk just to be reminded just how cool it really is.

Chaser you are being very unfair toward Countersniper scopes! While the cardboard tube in the picture is a superior optic when compared to CS what you fail to disclose is due to the vintage of that picture it is clearly a WAXED paper tube (a fact you cleverly failed to disclose)!

No paper towel cardboard tube of CURRENT manufacture can be considered superior to a Countersniper scope and you should admit it! However, I conceded that a very reasonable argument can be made that they are equals.

How about Smith scopes, I was told by some old marines, they are the best if you can find one
