The Bradys have these cities listed so far:

    * a rally at a church in Birmingham, Alabama
    * a candlelight vigil at the Arizona state capitol in Phoenix
    * an anti-violence coalition breakfast in Minneapolis
    * a community forum on illegal guns in San Diego
    * a march down Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Dallas
    * a bell-ringing for gun violence victims at city hall in Duluth, Minnesota

Does anyone know of any other cities they're planning on doing?

I tried to find out when and where they are having the protests. As of now they have 25 protests around the country. I was told the locations would not be made public until August 23rd at which time it would be posted on the website.

If you call the numbers below they might direct you to your local office to get some advance information.

Their number for PUSH is 773-373-3366 and 773-256-2714
    Jerry Thomas 773-677-6378
    Rashida Restaino 773-791-0014

    Let me see....

The problem is "illegal gun trafficking," so they are going to hold a rally at a church, have a candlelight vigil in Arizona, a breakfast in Minneapolis, a forum in San Diego, a march in Dallas, and a bell ringing for the victims in Duluth...

I bet the traffickers are really, I mean REALLY worried...

All of this would be funny, if it wasn't so pathetic. :scrutiny:

Someone should suggest that the solution to illegal guns should be the same as the solution to illegal immigration -- legalize it.

I've heard that Snuffy Plfeger and Jesse Jackson are going to back in Riverdale that day to protest at Chuck's Gun Shop. Once I get confirmation, I'll be there to counter protest.

I tell you what if the gunnies can't outnumber these protesters in places like Phoenix and Dallas, we deserve whatever negative press comes from it.

As I have proposed on other threads on this same subject, if you can afford it, purchase a firearm. If that is a stretch, purchase some ammunition, cleaning supplies, or go to the local range. Exercise your rights! Make your presence known at the checkout counter of your favorite purveyor of fine firearms and supplies. Now THAT is our "counter" protest.

In your face Brady Bunch! In your collective faces Rev Jackson and the Rainbow/PUSH!

great...as if ammo wasn't expensive enough a rush on it is going to make it worse.

Best bet: donate to the NRA on August 28th. The NRA will surely make this 'rush' known via the news. If you just buy a $10 box or even a $1000 crate of ammo, it's not going to make it to the news. There's no point to sticking it to someone unless they know about it....not to mention the NRA money will go to fight for our Freedom.

Ironically, August 28th is "buy a handgun day" in Missouri - the day that our "permit to acquire" law is officially repealed and we no longer have to go to the county sheriff for permission to buy a concealable firearm. I'd love to see the Bradys protesting in front of a gun store here and watching a steady stream of people coming out, legally permitless, with their new handguns.

And on your way out, smile, real friendly like. It will drive them to absolute distraction.

There's no such thing as an illegal gun. They're "undocumented self-defense tools".
