Cover for my lever gun

Sorry for the stupid question, I did a google search but I'm thinking I'm just lacking the correct terminology.

I am looking for a leather (sock?) for my marlin 1894...Preferably one with a strap to sling it over my shoulder.

Where can I find one?

My guess would be that you will have to have it custom made as I've never seen one except in an old cowboy movie. It's a darn good idea though.

You could look at some of the Black powder sites (Track of the wolf comes to mind) and pick ip a leather slip cover for your Lever gun. they also have lace on slings. Hope this helps.

I had one made of fairly thin deer skin that had a flap-over that fully covered the rifle and then a strap that wrapped around each end of the leather sock/scabbard so that it could be shouldered.

Look on flea bay...

Got mine for less than $30 delivered. 100% leather, new and fits like a snug glove. If your gun is blue don't put it up wet & be sure to keep it lubricated so it doesn't spot.
