CT is planning to run through a massive new freedom restriction law(s) and may be using the "emergency measures" rules to subvert the usual hearing process with very little citizen input. It is time for everyone who votes in CT to contact your state senator/reps to let them know how you feel about this issue. I wrote mine another nice letter and this time I even managed to fit in the "Democratic party and their apparatchiks" into my rant, I hope I spelled it correctly. CT already has numerous onerous requirements in place, about all you can say about it is that it is not as bad as Massachusetts or New York.

Unfortunately "ranting" and using words like apparatchik isn't going to get your letter taken very seriously.

Write your reps now. Let them know that ANY anti-Constitutional Bills will not be tolerated and that you will work passionately to unseat them at their next election if they violate their Constitutional Oath. Conversely, you will support them in their reelection if they uphold their Oath.

Good luck, keep up the pressure.

My state senator has an A+ rating from the NRA, but lately we have had a series of emails from his office about new sidewalk grants, ribbon cuttings for senior centers, and I'm sure there will be an Easter Bonnet judging coming up soon. No word on his stand on the upcoming legislation which in draft form sounds quite draconian.
It is time to aggressively step up the letters and calls.

It is funny how many Republican office holders are getting wishy washy on the possibility of further restrictive gun control laws right now. My elected representatives (two R's and a D) sound eerily similar in their canned responses to my many letters, emails and phone calls. I have made it very clear in to all of them, in a polite manner, that any more gun laws will get them fired come the next election. That is all they care about, and all they understand.
