Can anyone here let me in on some facilities for firearms training in Connecticut. Or perhaps a resource for the search. Yahoo, Google, and various searches have come up with very little.

Specifically beginer, intermediate, and tactical handgun training as well as Pistol permit instructor.

Smiley, Here is one www.defenseassociates.com They have courses at blue trail in Wallingford. There was another guy who answered me when I posted the same question here but I didn't save his website. If you search here you should find it. A guy at my club does basic NRA classes I could find his website if you wanted.

Another vote for Frank Cornwall and Defense Associates. I took my early training there (before I escaped the Iron Curtain) and it has stood me in good stead in all my subsequent training and shooting.

I got my NRA basic pistol instructor certification at Bridgeport shooting range, and it's a nice facility with good staff. Some of them travel around attending lots of different training courses regularly, so they're quite knowledgeable. They also regularly offer a Self Defense & The Law class regularly, but courses other than the basic ones tend to be scheduled depending on the number of people interested, or you can schedule one on one instruction.
LFI-1 is occasionally offered at Blue Trail, but other than that I'm still exploring options myself.
