Curious about an RMR.

Let me know how the replacement Firefield continues to hold up, if it does, for ~$50 I could see getting a few for some .22lr pistols

Biggest issue on the heavy recoiling pistols is the mounting a screws shooting loose (Loc-Tite to the rescue) but its why I quit buying ones with bottom mounted batteries.

.22 pistols are surprisingly hard on optics. Not at the same level of a centerfire gun, but the blowback slide is like a flat faced hammer that smacks the gun with each shot. I have to Loctite scope bases, mounts, and even sights. .22 revolvers are super easy on optics and sights in comparison.
 
RMR's are great, with practice. I have a Burris FFII mounted on my .243 for close shots. Without losing my cheek weld, all I have to do is open my left eye, and I can score hits out to 100 yards. Good stuff.
