I have two form 1's and 1 form 4. All were sent in at different times within about a 1 month span. Last time it was 5 months start to finish.

Form 4 between individuals, for a machine gun - 7 months almost to the day - Ohio valley territory w/ Nickie Dudash as the examiner

It's 6-8 months form 1 and 4s. I have a Tirant-9s that I'm waiting on the Form 3 transfer to my dealer. Such a pain!

Are you-all submitting these forms as an individual or other legal entity (Trust, LLC, corp)?
I heard 'other legal entity' gets processed faster...

I am at over 2 Months on a form 3. Once the form 3 to my dealer is done, I'll be lucky to get my form 4 back by the end of the year.

Filing with a trust, mailed Nov.16 and received the call today to pick up my suppressor. And as messed up as it may sound, also received some paperwork for my SBR. It wasn't what I was expecting. Same trust for both, but the SBR needs me to fill out the beneficiary "schedule B".

but the SBR needs me to fill out the beneficiary "schedule B"

Never heard of "schedule B", hope its not a new way to hassle us.

One examiner had a problem with some of the wording in my Trust, which had already been approved by two other examiners. The good news is once I had the Trust re-drawn to make him happy I got the two stamps in a week door to door.

I received two items that took 6 months back in February. It seems that 6 months has become the norm. Three years ago it was 3 months.

At least for my inspector at the time.

I don't think the change instituted in July 2011 has worked out as planned. Or has it??

For what it is worth I submitted a Form 20 earlier this month. It took all of 8 days to get approved.

Wally, "schedule B" is the schedule of beneficiaries. Your trust should have one, it designates who gets your NFA items should you die. I didn't have anyone I cared to put on it, so N/A was used. Now I have my wife on it even though she is also a trustee.

My beneficiaries are listed in the body of the trust Article III Section F. I suspect there are multiple way to do them.

I talked to my dealer this week. They heard that the ATF is adding some manpower to help deal with the volume. Supposedly some sort of assistant examiner, but not more examiners. No telling if it will help.

Has anyone else heard this?

Crawfobj, you might be right. Look at post #38, received the exact same thing again yesterday in the mail. Either two people are sifting paperwork or I have an examiner that wants to make sure I get my stamp!:what:

Check cashed Nov 30, stamp received today.

Suppressor on form 4, via trust.

Sara Jones was the examiner.

4 days short of 6 months.

Well, six months is better than eight. Now if they'd only speed up my Form 3 so I can get to submitting my Form 4...

last update i heard was form 3s were averaging 65 days. :banghead:

hope those assistants are gonna help crank these bad boys out. i just cant see why form 3s take so long.... just high volume

The best things come to those who wait... and wait... and wait...
Tell me about it....I paid full price for a YHM Phantom Ti 7.62 on February 11. The can has not been built yet, and when I called YHM yesterday they informed me that they are currently filling orders placed in January, so mine should be built sometime next month. Then it will probably take another 10-12 weeks for the Form 3 to clear, which puts in my dealers hand sometime in August. Then the Form 4 gets submitted, and I wait another 6-7 months, which means I may not have the can in hand until March 2013. That's 14 months from the time of payment.

The good news....I will have a YHM Phantom 7.62 Ti by March 2013 :D

March 2013 does no good. Haven't you heard the zombies attack in December of this year!!!!:neener:

I waited 2 months for my form 3 transfer on my Osprey, check was cashed Jan 11, so hopefully next month.
