Custom ceracoat.

I had a guy local to me do an AR 15 for me that came out nice.

Has anyone sent gun parts to be color ceracoated by a pro? Frame or slide.
If so who did the work?
We're you satisfied?

I have a couple of tired looking guns that could stand a freshening.
I spray my own and while i cant recommend a specific shop, i can recommend the finish itself.
Were i looking for someone else to do the work, id probably just pick one of cerakotes list of certified shops.

I've had several done:

The purple MKIII I had done for my wife, the aqua MKIV for my kid. Also had my dad's stainless GM 10/22 barrel done to look blued, which came out looking more like bluing than most of the bluing does these days. Done by Tom's Custom Coatings in Blanchester, Ohio.
Great folks too.
So far the finish has held up better than the factory finish did on the MKIII and most of the Sigs I've owned.

Lots of folks can do a great job, you should be able to find someone close to you that can ceracoat it for you.

I had a ffl close to me, H&H Engineering, who cerakoted the Gen 3 Glock 19 frame to match the cerakoted bottomland camo pattern that came on this slide:

They also did an all-over spray using five colors on this Gen 3 Glock 34:

I hope you will be able to find a cerakoter who can do what you need!

Stay safe.

I've had 3 rifles done by Fully Coated Firearms in Mauston WI, Josh does really nce work.

Take a look at Southwest Precision Arms out of Goodyear AZ . I hope harvest is going well for you and your sons

That's a really nice job they did, how much did it cost to do the blue one, if you don't mind me asking?
It was $200 total for the coating, which included 3 magazine base plates and the grip screws, as well as disassembly/reassembly. No added charge for installing the Volquartzen accurizing kit since it was already stripped.

If I had taken them the stripped barrel and stripped lower, it would have been $150 IIRC.

You might want to look at DuraCoat;

Many of their finishes are available in their "Can within a can" style; rattle can ease, Cerakote toughness.
I knew Steve from the gun shows. Bit of an odd duck, but I have used DuraCoat on my guns, including my own, and continue to do so.
His one of a kind Hummer is for sale on the website.

Have used oven cure Gunkote (aerosol) on a few.
Brownells no longer has it, so got a can of Wheeler Ceramkote to try when ever I get another project.
Heck it may be the same stuff for all I know.

Can't remember which blast media is preferred or what process specs.
Had a knowledgeable person blast my couple beater 1100s.
Painted em myself. Looked OK.

My SP still looks good after a few hunts here and there, last 5 yrs or so.
Im still not sold on spray on finishes. But they'd be easy enough to redo.

My Steyr Prohunter's factory finish is nice, forget what they call it.
The Weatherby Vanguard stuff looks more like paint to me.
But if it works, so be it.

So now I've switched gears....looking for a green DIY ceracoat or duracoat.
My tired old LCP slide will be the guinea pig.
All my edc stuff has green color....
Flashlight
SAK knife
Phone case
Ink pen
So I need, NEED green on my LCP.
If all suits me, my Hellcat also.
