Hey Guys,
Been some time since I was on here, but I could use some assistance.
Several years ago, my Brother In Law was killed in a motorcycle accident.
His wife gifted me his CVA Firebolt in 50 cal which was setup for #11 caps. I was told the rifle could also be set up for 209 primers, but she didn't give me any other components.
Does anyone have any info as to what is needed to switch over other than the breech plug.
I've already contacted the new owners of CVA and they claim to have no info on the older models.
Is the breech plug the only change, or does the bolt need a change as well?
Thanks,

i've owned several of those CVA Fire Bolt/Hunter Bolt/Mag Hunter rifles. 209 primers only make the action dirtier. The guns work well with #11 caps. If you use Triple Seven powder then use #11 magnum caps.

Seems it always rains right at muzzle loading season here. I was just looking to make it a little more dependable.
Also as of right now I'm still using pyrodex.
