+1 on the above. Because they are kind of a "Frankengun", never really cataloged by CZ, and retailed for so little--comparatively--you're not going to get much. If they allowed you $225 I'd be surprised.

Well I talked to the dealer today and he said 250 is what he would allow trade in on a G19 but he is out at the moment so I have a few days to think on it. Also there is a gun show this weekend I might take it with me and get a offer. BTW I really love this gun but even though it has been 100% I really want something that has a reputation a of being stone cold reliable, ability to takehundreds of rounds without breakage, and proven while being a little cheaper to feed. If the 40p had been around long enough to be proven I would feel better about it.

$265.00 plus the CZ40p but i'm still thinking on it and hoping I can do better at this weekends gun show.

matinson,

what about I buy yours for the $250 the dealer offers you (and I'll pay for the shipping). That way you can go back to the G-19 dealer and try to get purchase price lower without a trade.

if this is something you might want to consider, email me at gab328 at yahoo dot come.

have a good one!!!

If you were in Kentucky I would of been happy to do a FTF but I traded it in today at the gun show for a few Bushmaster AR parts.

A late update, I ended up going back the next day and buying it back after shooting a glock. The 40p may not be old enough to have the track record of the glock but I sure do shoot it better than my buddys glock19. BTW I have now close to 500 rounds through it and its still never malfunctioned, I am just glad I got it back for what I got out of it or I would of ordered another one, its a keeper.

I had one. Sold it. Wish I hadn't.

Deadly accurate, absolutely reliable. Outstanding ergonomics. Thought I wanted something else so I sold it (dummy).
I believe HBE holsters makes a really nice one for the 40P.

I purchased a soft armor holster made by Lynx for a sig226r off from ebay and it works great I don't plan on carrying the 40P unless the the need arises, my daily carry is a 642 and I have 6 other j-frames that are idea carry guns.

That makes 2 of us. I've got a P-01 to replace it, so I guess that's OK. Still, I regret selling it, although I made sure it went to a good home.

I have heard that the 40p uses the same frame as the p01 if thats the case the 40p alunimum frame should hold up to quite a few 40 S&W rounds since the p01 was torture tested by NATO with 30,000 +P+ 9mm rounds, what do you think about?

At 500 rounds a year how many years do you think the 40p would hold up?

Also does anyone have a link to the p01 torture test I found it once but I can't find now?

Besides a extra recoil spring, guide rod, and mags what other spare parts would you keep on hand for a BOB/SHTF handgun?

Sorry for all the questions but as you can see I plan on keeping it ;).

Slide stop

I've never been able to break, then again I run factory or reduced recoil springs. Others have had problems with the occasional slide stop breaking.

Shot a glock again today and I must say after the first hundred rounds I got good with it and really liked it. I am going to shoot it again if we have time tomarrow and even promised him I would clean it if he let me shoot it again:D , if all goes well like toady I will be getting a new g19 by the end of the week and possibly putting the 40p up for sale in the classifieds after I think on it for a few days.
