CZ 550 FS Magazines

Hi there I have been in love with CZ's line of FS rifles for years now and finally decided to take the plunge and buy two of them, (one in .243 and one in .308).
I Apologize in advance for not having any images to post, working on getting a digital camera as we speak.

My question is this; I would like to get some 10 round mags for the .308 and I don't know of any that currently exist. Would I need some custom made? And if so by who?

My goal was to give it the look of a yugo styled Mauser, complete with the rear stock sling cutout and Metal butt plate.
I have also had some recommendations of a company called "Badger ordinance" for the magazines, Not too familiar with them.

Wow. Sounds like quite a project. The CZ 750 is a 308 based on the 550 action and has 10rd mags. I doubt they would be compatible though. Take the question to the CZ forum.

They have many very qualified people answering questions there. It may take a while to get an answer there though.

Damn, my secret's out. The 750 mags work fine. Midwayusa get's them in stock once in a while. When I get the notification, I but one or two each time. $40+ IIRC.

Now, they are REALLY picky about grit, so keep them clean particularly when loaded. There's room for a better follower because the stock one tilts all kinds of ways.

ETA Feeling helpful. Midwayusa's part number 226286. WOW!!!! They've jumped to $99.99!!!!!! Glad I got mine when I did. No way I'd pay that for them.

ETA Checked my last order (4/08) and I paid $45.49 for them.

Update, just got the message about $100 mags and a tear trickled down my face...

Got your PM. Yea, I'm probably set unless they come back down to something "reasonable." At 100, I'm good to go. I'll buy a Savage in .308 and add a 10 round mag to it before I dump $100 on the CZ mags.

You're lucky to just have the guns. I've been badgering four local shops to try to find me a CZ 550FS in .308 for over a year, and no one can even order them. One shop is even listed on the CZ website, and they can't find one. I've been looking for a Ruger MkII International in 7mm-08 instead and can't get one of those either.
