Cz 550 fs?

Iwas thinking of getting a CZ550 FS. Now here's the problem in the FS stock the barrel is 20.5" (which I like a fs gun) is the action the same on the 30-06 and the 308 or is the 308 a true short action? And what would be the best all around gun 30-06 vs 308 in this short barreled gun.My main use would be for deer/hog.

The action is the same between the standard rifle calibers and the 308 family of cartridges. Difference is the 308 family has a detachable box magazine whereas the 30-06 family cartridges have an internal box magazine. I like my 308 an awful lot. I think you will like yours too.
