CZ 550 Varmint or Savage 10FP

Finally narrowed it down to these 2 after almost going with a different one. I can only see the CZ after ordering it so which is the "better" rifle between the CZ or Savage? It'll be for paper punching and SHTF (like in "Red Dawn"). Almost went with a Tikka WTH, but I'd like to go with something heavy for lots of shooting and I like a thinner stock. It'll wear a Kahles 6x42 with Burris rings and mounts.

Hi Cory,

Savage's service is excellent. I'm not sure where you get warranty service on a CZ. They're both nice rifles that shoot real well so you'll probably be happy either way.

I'd vote Savage for one main reason... I hate the mag on the CZ.

Both are good guns and worth the investment. Comes down to personal preference. Good shooting.

I don't know about rifles, but I have heard some horror stories over at www.handgunreview.com about CZ USA's customer service with CZ pistols.
