will my sp01 take a standard cz75 mag?

yes it takes 16rnd factory or mecgar mags. these will fit flush unlike the 19rnd mags.

good thats what i was hoping to hear i dont like the way the bumper plate looks on the 19 rd mags

yes they are not cheap or easy to find either.

CTD has them (cz75 16-shot Mec-Gars) for $24.99 in their new catalog.
I only trust CZUB Factory or Mec-Gars. Most often they are just Mec-Gars on CZ contract.

midway has them

I just picked up a couple(mecgar)from midway last month on sale, $20 ea. I don't know if they still have them on sale or not but they work great in my 75B.
