Okay, So my brother is looking at a handgun with good reliability. Something he can trust. He done some research and watched videos and he understands that this is a competition gun.

CZ 75 SP-01 Phantom is the one he's looking at.
He's wants to get the 9mm. But before he goes and buys, He would like some comments from those who have owned it and have used it before

Whats your opinion on it? Any jam or misfeed issues etc? Anything basically you can tell us about it?

Phantom ROCKS.

With old factory 115 grain stuff, first time pulling the trigger,

With some home cast 124 grain stuff,

50 yards standing with 115 grain factory - gonna try this again with 124 grain stuff, most 9mm seem optimized for 124 grain,

It eats everything I give it, factory or handload, jacketed or home cast, not one bobble, burp or twitch. My son got to shoot it yesterday, too,

...and he put one about 2 inches from the bull at 10 yards, first ever pistol shot fired.

The Phantom feels great but it does come with one different main spring grip insert if you want to try it. I left mine the way it came. 18 round mags, but when fully loaded it still feels lighter than my fully loaded alloy framed P-01.
The trigger DOES seem a bit draggy, but I expect that to improve over a short time.

Smile, you've been Phantomized.

I have the CZ 75 SP-01.
(not Phantom) I just liked the look better
It has never had a misfire or a jam.
The quality of the machining is top notch.
I guess I expected something from the Czech republic to be a bit rough. Not at all. (shame on me)
I like the slide serrations, they seem to grab my fingers better than the US style.
The slide release is right where I need it.
I'd rather it had the euro style mag release, like H&K, I find the thumb button stiff to push.
I have the BD version, decocker, I like it a lot.
It's big.......if you're thinking carry, it's not for you.
I got it as a range gun and it's great.

They claim the magazines hold 18, I think it's more like 20.

Mine are 18 rounds, and it is riding with me in an IWB holster right now. Yes, it can be carried concealed. I am not a big guy, so that's not the reason it works. Hoping to try a Falco shoulder holster for it soon. Holsters for the Glock 21/22 are rumored to fit well, haven't tried that yet.
Also, if the factory extended mags are too long for you, the regular factory CZ75B 16 round mags work and fit flush. :) I do remember Angus saying they had a way to modify the mag to reliably take 19 rounds, but I'm good with 18 for now. :D

He was thinking more about reliability and all. Being a competition gun, and after man comments and videos, He seemed to like it and understood that its reliable. After he gets it in his hands then we will know wether to conceal or not hes a big guy so shouldnt be to hard.

I think to big to carry anyways lol
