Hello everybody , I’ll make a quick review of my father’s CZ 75B INOX he purchased on April 2009. He always wanted an all stainless steel SA/DA 9mm pistol, and the CZ was one of the few choices we have (at least in my country) and certainly the best priced one.

The CZ 75B INOX has all steel “glow in the dark” fixed sights, ambidextrous manual safety that can be engaged only with the hammer in the cocked position for condition one carry. Capacity is 16+1 rounds. Exterior finish is good: it is actually a brushed steel finish and not the bead blasted finish I’ve seen on many Internet pics here and there. It’s between a S&W and a Ruger revolver finish, just to explain. Interior finish is not as good: many tool marks, even some scratches, and heat treatment colour signs everywhere.
My rate is
exterior finish: 8.5 of 10;
interior finish: 5.5 of 10.

The SA trigger is nothing special: it is light but has some “stage” and creep. DA trigger is a bit heavy but smooth and if you half-cock the hammer become very usable. SA trigger may need a job but we’ve decided to leave it the way it is. The gun arrived wearing Hogue rubber grips with finger grooves: the feeling and grip was awesome but the look of the pistol sucked a bit; so we decided to order a set of original CZ checkered cocobolo grips from midwayitalia.com and a set of Uncle Mike’s screws to replace the factory ones that really sucks. We’ve polished the head of the screws (because they were blued) to match the finish of the gun. We’ve installed a couple of bearings between the screw and the grip on each side (Uncle Mike’s screws are longer than factory ones). We’ve also polished the barrel with abrasive paste because it was of an ugly dark grey (I after discovered many CZ owners do the same thing: this not affect the hardness treatment of the barrel because you are not going to remove anything of it). We’ve finally mirror polished the feed ramp. We have the intention to replace the plastic recoil guide, that we can’t stomach, with a DPM or a Sprinco recoil assembly.

The gun has fired 750 factory rounds without problems. Accuracy is very good (well, it is a CZ…) thanks to the excellent “frame to slide” fit and “barrel to slide” fit: almost no plays of any kind. I remember my very first group at 15 yards was TIGHT in spite of the SA trigger. Strike and extraction are powerful and spent cases land all in the same place: if you put a box where the first case lands, you don’t have to pick up the others 15! Recoil and muzzle flip are not an issue. The grip is perfect. Everything works good.

Conclusions: a gun everybody should own, and for the price it can’t be beaten.

Best regards, 5-SHOTS.

Very nice writeup and a very nice looking pistol. Good job with the polishing and grips. Looks great.

I believe that the term or name 'Inox' though, is a term or name used by Beretta.

Sorry. I'd only seen it used by Beretta for their stainless models. Didn't know it meant stainless.

CZ offers the 75B in three stainless formats: matte, brushed, and highly polished -- like the proverbial "pimp" gun.

It isn't generally noted, but the stainless models have some minor enhancements not available in the standard 75B (non-stainless) DA/SA models: ambidextrous safeties and, I think, a reversible mag release.

I think the matte model is attractive, and will be the easiest to deal with when there are scratches.

Inox is short for inoxidable, which is the term for stainless steel in the romance languages.

Thanks to all. Sorry folks, I had to write STAINLESS instead of INOX, because the gun is actually made of stainless steel and not just has an inoxidable finish. Yes, the gun has ambi thumb safety and reversible mag release.

Best regards, 5-SHOTS.
