recently got one. changed out springs. i'm told nothing can be done about the hammer move back on sa pull, but this causes some creep. are all CZs like this?

The competition hammer can improve it. Beyond that takes time for it to wear in.

can you give me more info on the competition hammer--how can i find one? thank you

So the hammer moves back on a CZ with the SA trigger? Then wouldnt that not really be a SA trigger since its moving the hammer.
I have never shot a CZ but I was going to make the CZ 75 B SA my next handgun based on all the great reports CZ has been receiving lately.
Tell me a little more if you dont mind.

The CZ75 in single action does indeed have an "positive rake" full cock notch on the hammer, and pulling the trigger cams it back before dropping it. It isn't much but it gives a heavy, draggy, creepy trigger pull. It can be fixed but the more complicated machinery of the BD runs the cost up and the results down.

Nothing to do with the double action linkage.

CZ 75B trigger job

The CZ Forum has an excellent illustrated step-by-step/picture by picture trigger job for the CZ in the frequently asked questions section. It even addresses taking some of the camming out, but that can be risky with the stock sear assembly.

Angus Hobdell/Ghost Products sells a competition trigger and hammer combo, that cures all the ills. Just polishing the metal to metal surfaces (shown on the CZ site) makes a huge improvement.

Going to a lighter trigger spring (stock is 20lbs) also improves the trigger a lot. Using Wolff springs, a 15lb recoil and a 16 lb trigger spring made it a sweet pistol for about $16.
