I'm really liking the look of the cz-82. I found that berry's are about 90 per k. That's a bit better than the 113 per k i paid for 9mm montana gold's. However, i discovered mastercast bullets just the other night....they have 9mm mak bullets for only 50 per k! I know there's a lot of debate on the safety of a hard cast bullet in a polygonal barrel, but does anyone have hands on experience with using mastercast bullets in a cz-82?

Check with Mike at Triple Rivers in Warsaw Missouri. He is a certified CZ repairman and does a lot of loading. 660-438-2004. He is an expert gunsmith. Tends to be a little brief until you get him started. He is a retired Navy diver.

As far back as the Civil War, there were problems with lead bullets and polygonal barrels. Polygonal barrels lead like crazy if you don't use jacketed bullets. I don't know if the Berry's plated bullets get around that problem.

My buddy that I shoot with on the weekends has the CZ-82 and shoots nothing but cast loads in his. We've run about 8 to 10 mags full of Lee 95 gr. pan lubed cast loads with several different powders through it on multiple occasions with no issues.
