Wow! Look at this little beauty!

At $242 out the door, I can't be more pleased. They advertise it as "excellent" but I would say "like new" is more like it. It looks like it's never been fired and just stored away for awhile. I am very pleased.

On their web site they give a "warning" about the polygonal rifleling - that it looks like there's no rifeling at all - boy are they right! It really does look like a smooth bore.

Can't wait to shoot it - I'll post results after I do.

ETA: the instruction manual is from a pda link that was posted here, and its for the CZ-83 which is almost identical. Just in case anybody was wondering. I think it's available on the CZ home page. It didn't come with the pistol.

Thanks - I like mine even more now after shooting it!

I put 150 rounds through it this evening. No malfunctions. Shot just a little below point of aim at 10 yards. I also shot 10 rounds of my handloads (star line brass, hornady xtp 95 grain bullets, wsp primers, 3.6 grains of titegroup). These were just a wee bit lower than the 92 grain fmj silver bear ammo, indicating that they are probably a little faster.

Here's a pic of the target showing the 10 rounds of my handload: - just a bit over 3" for all but one of the rounds - pulled by me:

Plenty good for a defensive pistol. Especially since I was able to keep them all in 6" easily shooting as fast as I could get a flash sight picture.

A great pistol - especially for the money.

red storm holster arrives

This shipped very quickly.

Here are a couple of pics:

Positives: Fits very snuggly and I like the thumb break placement - works very well. It's also very "minimal" and doesn't add any bulk to the pistol - making it great for concealed carry. The pistol draws very smoothly from the holster. Workmanship is good and it's a good desgin. Price is great.

Negatives: The only negative to me is the fact that the leather is so soft and supple that one-handed re-holstering is impossible. It's really hard with two hands as well.

This is a hand-cut holster as you can see from the pics - not die cut. The gentleman that's making these is doing it entirely by hand.

The reholstering thing is kind of an unimportant thing to me - if I have to draw the pistol, the last thing I'm worried about is reholstering - I can always shove it into my pants "mexican carry" if needed until I can get it reholstered. But, this may be a turn-off to some.

Overall, I really like it - its a good holster that keeps the gun secure and doesn't add any bulk to the "print" of the gun.

Recoil is "snappy" - not unlike a 9x19. I think it's the blowback operation that makes this lively. But it's certainly not excessive.

One thing that did bother me which I've already fixed is that the safety, which wraps around the "beavertail" had a sharp edge on the inside where it matches up with the frame. This caused a little "bite" on the web of my hand after the 150 rounds. This didn't happen when I gripped firmly - did when I was less firm.

I fixed it by drifting the pin out that holds the safety and stoning the inside edge to smooth it. Now it's fine.

I still really like this little pistol and the holster just makes it all that better.

THe CZ83/CZ82 is even better with Nites. Big and bright dots in both white for day (rings) and green (tritium) at night. PT sells and installs them.

I thought I had heard that they were no longer in business (affiliated with IWI). I found a site that sells them for the CZ-75, http://www.arizonagunrunners.com/Products/PTSights/ptsights.html but nothing for an 82/83.

From what I understand Meprolight Tritiums Model # ML-17777 fit the CZ-75 and CZ-82/83,

I got one too

Last week I received my CZ82 for Aim. I think I would have bought it as a new gun if I was looking at it in a gun store. Very nice. My holster certainly doesn't look as good as yours, but that's ok. I was a little suprised by the amount of recoil. But, it doesn't bother me.
